
Field Service Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated Field Service Representative to serve as a critical link between our technology and our customers in the field. This role is responsible for leading customer onboarding, delivering hands‑on training, and ensuring successful operational adoption of our systems. The Field Service Engineer will act as a trusted, customer‑facing representative of the company, building strong relationships through consistent follow‑up, technical support, and on‑site engagement.
In addition to customer support, this individual will represent the company at conferences, demonstrations, and field events, showcasing our capabilities to a wide range of stakeholders, including operators, engineers, and senior decision‑makers. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in dynamic environments and can confidently communicate both technical and operational value.

Location
Remote – West Coast
Primary Responsibilities
Lead customer onboarding and initial system integration, ensuring users are fully equipped to operate and maintain Jaia systems
Plan and deliver hands‑on training for operators and leadership, both in classroom and field environments
Serve as the primary customer interface during deployments, providing responsive support, troubleshooting, and follow‑up engagement
Conduct live demonstrations at conferences, exercises, and customer sites, clearly communicating operational value and technical capabilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with end users, program offices, and key stakeholders to drive long‑term adoption and satisfaction
Capture field feedback and operational insights, and relay them to internal teams to inform product improvements and future development
Support internal engineering efforts as needed, including system testing, validation, and integration support
Assist in the development and refinement of training materials, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures
Travel regularly to customer sites, training events, and industry conferences, often in dynamic or austere environments
Accountable For
Successful onboarding and operational readiness of customers, ensuring systems are effectively integrated and utilized in real‑world missions
Delivery of high‑quality training that enables users to confidently operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Jaia systems
Customer satisfaction and relationship management across assigned accounts, including responsiveness, professionalism, and follow‑through
Execution of professional, effective demonstrations that accurately represent Jaia capabilities and generate customer interest and trust
Accurate identification, documentation, and communication of field issues, user feedback, and operational insights to internal teams
Contribution to continuous product and training improvement through direct field experience and technical input
Readiness and reliability in supporting deployments, travel requirements, and field operations in dynamic environments
Upholding Jaia’s reputation as a trusted, capable, and mission‑focused partner in all customer and public‑facing interactions

Experience in engineering, oceanography, business, communications, or marketing.
Knowledge and experience operating our JaiaBot vehicles.

Seamanship or boating skills.
The duties and responsibilities of the Field Service Representative may change from time to time, at the sole discretion of Jaia.
