About the role
This is a full‑time position based in Fernley, NV. Lilac’s Fernley operation is a growing facility, and this role includes an opportunity for career growth and advancement. This role works full‑time in a manufacturing environment. Individuals must be capable of lifting 50 pounds, work at heights on occasion, and detect physical hazards and the presence of gas leaks and similar safety risks.
What you’ll do
Provide hands‑on, tactical leadership to a team of Process Technicians in the commissioning, initial startup, and transition to full operation of a new ion exchange bead manufacturing unit.
Consistently provide technicians with high quality coaching, feedback, and recognition.
Deliver continuous improvement by monitoring team capabilities, work processes, and equipment performance to identify opportunities and anticipate emerging issues.
Coordinate with planners to develop and execute the daily production plan, determine and communicate shift priorities, and perform short‑term resource planning.
Oversee the Safe Work Permitting process.
Develop standard operating procedures and workflows.
Train technicians on process and equipment operation; safe work practices and behaviors; emerging issue recognition and troubleshooting; and policies and procedures.
Participate in structured process improvement, risk management and problem‑solving processes such as RCAs, MOCs, and PHAs.
Required Qualifications
A.A.S. in Process Technology or similar technical field with at least 5 years of relevant experience or 8+ years of experience in manufacturing in chemical, petroleum, materials, or similar industry.
Minimum of 6 months of leadership experience in a manufacturing or technical environment and a strong desire to learn, grow, and improve.
Engaging leadership skills and a drive to build an outstanding team and to treat others with integrity, respect, and fairness.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Must be capable of passing a respirator fit test and occasionally wearing a respirator during operations.
Willing and able to lead a team on rotating shifts in a manufacturing environment.
Excited to work on a small, fast‑paced startup team.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation for this role is based on relevant experience, skills, and overall fit for the role. The range provided represents our typical compensation for this position, though actual pay may fall outside this range depending on qualifications.
Annual base salary of $95,000 - $122,000
