Responsibilities
Obtain patient information for creating an electronic patient profile.
Gather prescription insurance information and enter it accurately into the pharmacy system.
Verify that prescription information is complete and legible at the time of drop‑off.
Retrieve the correct medication from inventory.
Stock, order, and update inventory according to established processes.
Prepare medical insurance claims.
Direct clinical patient questions to the pharmacist for consultation.
Ring out patients accurately and promptly.
Notify the pharmacist when a new prescription requires consultation.
Perform other duties assigned by the Pharmacist‑in‑Charge or Pharmacist‑on‑Duty.
Maintain ethical, professional behavior to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely distribution and control of medications.
Stay current on federal and state regulations pertaining to retail pharmacy operations.
