Environmental Services Aide - 3:00pm -11:30pm (Discharge)

Job Summary
This position involves cleaning and servicing areas such as guest, patient, public, clinical, and administrative spaces to maintain a clean and aseptic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintains assigned area in a clean and aseptic manner.
Maintains environmental closet and equipment in a clean, aseptic and orderly manner.
Assists with restock of cafe and bar where necessary.
Assists with special cleaning projects and room turnover.
Follows all current Joint Commission / CMS regulations pertaining to Environment of Care and Cleaning requirements.
Other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education
Required: None (ability to read, write and speak/understand verbal communication in English).
Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
Required: Experience in operating environmental services equipment (dust mop, wet mop, bucket and wringer, spray bottles, and dustpan).
Preferred: 1 year relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of housekeeping, cleaning and cleaning equipment/supplies.
Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed.
Ability to listen and take direction and complete job tasks with minimal supervision.
Ability to read, write and speak/understand verbal communication in English.
Physical and Environmental Demands
Heavy work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree. Must be able to work with and around chemicals, both acidic and alkaline. Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue. Occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or waste. Mechanical lifting devices or team lifts should be utilized.
