is an award-winning full-service architecture firm (winner of Architects Newspaper Best of Practice - North-east 2025) We specialize in new, adaptive reuse and renovations in the residential, commercial and public sectors. We have a slate of exciting new housing projects and are looking to hire a full-time, in person, Intermediate Architect with experience in multi-family dwellings. Our ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, person with experience working on all phases of multi-family (99 unit and up), market rate and affordable housing in New York city.
Responsibilities
Independently work on 2-3 projects at a time. Develop and communicate design concepts in collaboration with the team.
Familiar with zoning and building code requirements for multi-family residential projects in NYC
In charge of day-to-day management of 2-3 projects, communication and interfacing with client teams and managing the production of approval and construction drawings.
Produce and execute project deliverables including project schedule, Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Drawing sets, schedules, and specification and manage construction administration.
Working knowledge of NYC building codes and LPC and DOB permitting process specifically related to multi-family dwelling..
Coordinate project sub-consultants such as MEP, structural and lighting designers
Proficient in Construction Administration, review of shop drawings, drafting RFI responses, and providing clarification sketches as needed
Qualifications
Minimum 7+ post-degree years of experience at an architecture office, including experience on the Design and Construction phases of architecture projects
Experience with production of Construction Documents and managing Construction Administration
Excellent English language communication and client-facing skills
Proficient in Revit, Autocad, Rhino, Sketchup & Adobe Creative Suite.
Currently living in NYC and available to start immediately.
Legally eligible to work in the United States, without need for employer sponsorship.
