HX5 is currently seeking a Cost Estimator/Analyst Senior to support the HNI Division at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage, oversee/lead, or perform scientific work that involves designing, developing, and adapting mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques.
Analyze management problems and provide advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative solutions to these problems.
Use cost estimating outputs to assess the impact various factors have on the costs to design, research, develop, operate, maintain, and dispose of a particular weapon system.
Determine most appropriate phase of the budgetary cycle (planning, programming, justification, execution, etc.) for initiating new programs
Analyze all elements affecting costs for a project of limited scope
Analyze Contractor financial data using EVM measures of merit to determine program viability with respect to cost, schedule, and performance
Use the Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT) Suite to perform all program office estimates and analyses; mandatory use for working in the C3I&N Directorate (AFLCMC/HN) for all cost analysis positions
Analytical processes, such as setting up the problem, conducting background research, collecting, and reducing data, displaying data for analysis, formulating mathematical expressions, and drawing conclusions
Compliance with all cost estimating guidance including the appropriate DoD, Air Force, AFMC, AFLCMC, or lower-level policy, publications, supplements, manuals, etc., as well as applicable documents and regulations, systems, processes, and guides, as required
Salary:
This position is expected to pay $103,000-$145,400 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
Education and Experience:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD
OR bachelor’s degree in a related field and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD
OR fifteen (15) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
Other Position Requirements:
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
Must be able to travel, including air travel.
