System One is assisting a Tulsa company with a search for a
Senior Accounting Research Analyst . This role will play a highly visible part in evaluating complex technical accounting matters, documenting conclusions, and partnering cross-functionally to support significant transactions and reporting needs. Hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
Research and resolve complex accounting issues; document conclusions in technical accounting memos
Support technical areas including business combinations, revenue recognition, leases, derivatives, and consolidation
Assist with implementation of new accounting standards and communicate impacts to stakeholders
Liaise with external auditors providing support for key accounting conclusions
Identify opportunities to improve accounting policy, internal controls, processes, and use of technology
Advise on transaction structuring to achieve desired accounting outcomes in accordance with GAAP
Provide training/education on significant accounting matters and new standards
Support standalone GAAP reporting related to joint ventures
Serve as an internal SME for complex, high-visibility, non-routine transactions
Support peak reporting cycles as needed (occasional evenings/weekends)
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree plus
6–10 years
of accounting experience, CPA and public accounting audit experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proficiency with Excel and comfortable with computer systems
Strong work ethic with a great attitude
Salary: $120K – $160K, depending on experience
