Description
CME Associates is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Inspector to join our team in East Brunswick, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in inspecting public projects and will preferably hold NICET I certification. As an Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of public projects.
Responsibilities
Project Inspection:
Conduct thorough inspections of public projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and other infrastructure, to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and regulations.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspection findings, including photographs, reports, and other relevant documentation. Prepare inspection reports for clients and regulatory authorities as needed.
Quality Control:
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify and address construction and design issues promptly, ensuring the quality and safety of the project.
Compliance Monitoring:
Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure they adhere to project plans, specifications, and safety protocols, taking appropriate actions to address non-compliance.
Communication:
Effectively communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies. Provide clear and concise updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions.
Qualifications
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in inspecting public infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, and utilities, is required.
NICET I:
NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) Level I certification in a related field is highly preferred.
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards, including relevant codes and regulations.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with project stakeholders and prepare detailed inspection reports.
Attention to Detail:
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
