Facility:
This regional medical center serves as a vital healthcare resource for the community, featuring a 3-bed labor and delivery department with 14 postpartum beds. The facility provides comprehensive obstetric services with strong support staff including 24/7 hospitalist, anesthesiology, and radiology support, averaging 27 deliveries monthly.

Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Details:
• Provide 24-hour call coverage for obstetrics and gynecology services
• Round on patients and be available for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries
• Handle emergent gynecological procedures as needed
• Manage low-risk pregnancies and routine deliveries including vaginal and cesarean sections
• Perform complicated deliveries including breech presentations, multiple births, and abruptions
• Conduct decision-making for C-sections and VBAC procedures
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Perform OB ultrasounds with interpretation capabilities
• Handle office/minor gynecology procedures including IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, and LEEP
• Provide surgical gynecology services including open and laparoscopic procedures
• Must have active NC medical license, NC DEA, and NC Medicaid credentials
• Board certification required with laser certification
• Must be enrolled with PECOS as a provider
• Required to submit case logs from the last 12 months
• Must be actively delivering babies and fully vaccinated
• Hospital apartments provided adjacent to facility
• Must remain within 20 minutes of hospital per bylaws
• High-risk deliveries transferred to facilities with NICU capabilities
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 14 days

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
