This role is ideal for a Physical Therapist Assistant who enjoys a fast pace, a steady stream of patients, and working closely with a supportive team of therapists and rehab professionals.Greenbelt offers the best of both worlds: the charm of a small, tree-filled community with the advantages of being just outside Washington, DC. You will enjoy convenient access to major highways and public transit, making it easy to explore DCs museums, monuments, and cultural events, as well as nearby Baltimore and Annapolis. Locally, Greenbelt features extensive parkland, walking and biking trails, community recreation centers, local festivals, and a distinctive cooperative, community-oriented spirit. The areas mix of residential neighborhoods, shopping, dining, and green spaces makes it a comfortable place to live, work, and unwind after a busy clinic day.In this outpatient setting, you will work with a broad range of patients, including orthopedic, sports, post-surgical, spine, and general musculoskeletal cases. The clinic sees a high daily volume, providing excellent exposure to varied diagnoses and treatment plans. A typical day includes assisting with initial and follow-up treatments, progressing therapeutic exercise programs, providing manual techniques as delegated by the PT, and reinforcing patient education and home exercise programs.You will collaborate closely with physical therapists to carry out individualized treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and document care efficiently in the electronic medical record. Patient care is delivered in a one-on-one or small group setting, with a focus on functional outcomes, safe return to activity, and patient satisfaction. Caseloads are steady and busy, with a consistent flow of patients throughout the day.The clinic environment is purposefully designed to support teamwork and learning. You will work alongside experienced PTs and rehab staff who value open communication, clinical mentorship, and shared problem-solving. This provides a strong foundation for professional development and an opportunity to refine your outpatient skills, pursue areas of clinical interest, and build a strong resume through exposure to evidence-based practice and diverse caseloads.Shifts are generally daytime hours on weekdays, with some flexibility based on patient demand and scheduling needs.
