*Main Responsibilities*
Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our drivers
Doing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner
Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials, including replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components, etc.
Keeping your work area clean and safe
Using tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
Willing to learn new skills
Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Responsible for the repair, maintenance and overhaul of fleet diesel equipment.
Assist in the diagnosis of major components, remove/ replace major components of various truck and trailer equipment at the direction of Shop Manager.
Ability to diagnose and repair the following with little or no supervision: Clutches, Electric Systems, Hydraulic/ Air Brake Systems, Heating/ Air Conditioning Systems, Instruments and Gauges, and Preventive Maintenance Service.
*Position Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited to*:
Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, and related parts)
Performs daily inspections and repairs on entire fleet
Complete preventative maintenance and standard vehicle maintenance of fleet diesel equipment
Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative
Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
Pay: $27.10 - $32.64 per hour
