Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Technician (Medical Assistant) for our Retina team at the Eye Clinic of Wisconsin. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wausau, WI. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with patient examinations and procedures, conducting diagnostic testing, maintaining and preparing medical equipment, and providing compassionate care to patients by addressing their questions and concerns during their visits. The technician will also document patient histories, monitor vital signs, and support the team in creating an optimal care environment.
When travel is involved, you receive $.72/mile and you receive a travel bonus per shift traveled! This is a full-time position offering full benefits, including an attractive retirement plan.
Qualifications
Understanding of Medical Technology
Knowledge of Patient Care best practices
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to provide compassionate patient care
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-based healthcare setting
Experience as a medical assistant or similar qualification preferred
Previous ophthalmology or retina-related experience is an advantage, but not required
Strong desire to work with a great Team and contribute toward a positive work environment
