Responsibilities
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Licensed Practical Nurse delivers efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction.
Evaluate patients/residents to collect data, observe condition, and report changes.
Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
Licensed by the State Board of Nursing or holding a pending licensure for practical nurse.
Maintain current BLS/CPR certification or required state certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or assisted living facility.
