Position Description
Primary Purpose: Responsible for the successful installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting and repair of electrical components associated with facility and equipment related to the transfer and storage of bulk products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.

Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment to locate and correct breakdowns.

Connect wires to circuit transformers and other components.

Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with code.

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as odometers and voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety.

Comply with the work order process and track progress to ensure completion.

Assist in tracking maintenance costs, ensuring objectives and costs align with budgetary constraints.

Problem solve and think creatively to improve equipment performance.

Advise terminal management on progress toward objectives and develop strategies for necessary adjustments.

Receive and maintain equipment documentation (blueprints, technical manuals, operational manuals).

Accept supervision and work cooperatively with co‑workers, customer representatives, regulators, KM staff, and others.

Other functions as trained and assigned. Knowledge of CMMS systems and functionality is a plus.

Position Requirements
Education: High School degree or equivalent required.

A minimum of 3 years of previous successful or experience in industrial maintenance is required.

The applicant must meet the criteria to obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) as required by USCG/DHS regulations.

Current driver’s license.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Proficiency in the use of computers and applications.

Ability to perform job duties with little or no supervision.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Ability to work safely with emphasis on following procedures and management practices.

Must be a problem solver with the ability to find resolutions.

Successful completion of pre‑employment drug and alcohol screen and background check upon job offer.

Physical demands: Must not have a fear of heights, must be able to climb stairs and ladders, and must be able to travel upon supervisor request.

Preferred skill: Understanding PLC logic.

Other responsibilities: Assist or lead in mechanical maintenance, including replacing gearboxes related to operating equipment.
