Mechanical Assemblers
– Plano, TX
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling manufactured products and packing according to specifications. Perform all assignments within acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping within assigned functions.
Duties/Responsibilities
Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions.
Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed.
Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts material handler if supplies are needed.
Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
Exhibits teamwork in all tasks, maintaining a positive and team-based attitude. Supports peers in time of high demand by working assigned hours and overtime as required; also complies with scheduled start/stop times and break periods for the facility.
Possesses confident communication, interaction, and customer relationship building skills supporting the company’s culture.
Performs other job-related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
Able to build panels from start to finish (measure, drill, tap, layout).
Familiar with breakers, relays, contactors, transformers, lights, SPDs and other electronic components.
Knowledgeable with wiring industrial control panels (UL508A experience).

6:30 PM- 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday
