Swing Shift 2:00 pm - 12:30 am
Specific Job Function
The materials handler will be responsible for the transportation, preparation and staging of materials used in daily production and assembly. Duties will include loading, unloading, and moving materials within warehouses. Additionally, the materials handler helps monitor and maintain parts inventory levels and keeps assembly workstations properly stocked.
Assists with overall warehouse operations, planning, and daily activities, including receiving and stowing, picking and packing, inventory management, and documentation. Supports the planning of efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials.
Responsibilities
Operate materials‑handling equipment to move large volumes of materials.
Load and unload materials, move pallets.
Keep assembly workstations properly stocked with materials and supplies at all times.
Process orders; handle inventory, retrieval of component parts.
Stage and deliver materials in a timely manner.
Keep accurate records of usage, participate and understand scheduling needs, inventory, and production output.
Must be able to follow management instruction and work independently to meet schedules.
General maintenance and cleaning related tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED (preferred) or 2 years' experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of inventory systems and processes.
Physical exertion is common to many tasks. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, kneel, crouch, walk and climb stairs.
Must be able to stand for entire shift (exception‑lunch and breaks).
Be able to work in fast paced environment.
Safety Glasses required.
Ability to work overtime, as assigned.
