
Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our clients accounting team. This is a newly created role designed to bring formal accounting expertise in-house. The ideal candidate holds an accounting degree, has a solid foundation in GAAP, and is eager to grow within a dynamic finance function. You will own day-to-day transactional accounting and play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Key responsibilities
Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, transaction recording, and account updates
Enter and manage bills, invoices, payments, and receipts in QuickBooks
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and vendor statements on a regular basis
Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking
Follow up on outstanding balances and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Assist with month-end close activities and prepare basic financial reports
Support job cost actualization and financial close processes
Maintain accurate vendor, customer, and account records in QuickBooks
Manage expense categorization and receipt documentation
Assist with payroll data entry as needed
Generate routine management reports and assist with ad hoc projects
Maintain organized digital files including invoices, receipts, and financial statements
Utilize CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) to access customer and deal-related data
Provide general administrative support across the finance function
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
1–2 years of hands‑on accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of GAAP
Proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Nice to have
CRM experience (HubSpot preferred)
Experience with job cost accounting
Payroll processing familiarity
Positive, growth-oriented mindset
Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
