Product Marketing, Velocity (Mid-market & SMB) Segment
Stripe, Chicago, IL, United States
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the Team
Sitting within the Product Marketing organization at Stripe, our Audience Product Marketing team champions key customer segments and industries. We focus on deeply understanding our users, the markets they operate in, and our core product value propositions; and on driving pipeline and growth to expand our global user base and hit ambitious revenue targets.
We are looking for an exceptional product marketer for our Velocity segment, which encompasses mid‑market and SMB businesses. You will be a key player in shaping how we win this segment, with a heavy focus on scalable demand generation, industry marketing, and partner motions. You will identify new market opportunities, develop scalable playbooks, and align cross‑functional teams to accelerate growth.
What you’ll do
As the Key Owner of our GTM strategy for the Velocity segment, you’ll need to quickly build a deep understanding of Stripe’s products, buyer personas, and differentiation, then design, execute, and optimize scalable marketing engines.
Be the expert on Velocity users; identify new growth opportunities using customer insights, sales data, and market trends, and translate them into actionable and repeatable GTM strategies and product roadmap recommendations.
Partner closely with regional demand‑gen, field, and partner marketing functions to design, execute, and optimize a scaled marketing engine focused on our tech‑forward ICP in target industry verticals. Build compelling content and programming that bring Velocity users to Stripe and then optimize and scale these programs.
Use data and insights from Sales and SD teams to identify opportunities to improve our sold funnel. Create customer‑facing messaging, assets, and sales plays that differentiate Stripe and help sales teams win.
Develop and own the program roadmaps and KPIs to ensure accountability and measure impact.
Minimum Requirements
11+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in B2B tech.
Deep understanding of demand generation from top‑of‑funnel campaigns to field events and partner‑led programs; results‑orientation.
A builder mentality with a strong bias to action; comfortable with ambiguity, and able to experiment and adapt at pace.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of distilling complex strategies into clear, compelling narratives for executive and external audiences.
Exceptional cross‑functional leadership and ability to influence across all levels and functions.
High comfort toggling between strategy and execution—from big picture to fine detail.
Proven ability to partner with Sales to build a high‑velocity sales motion.
Optimistic about the future and relentless in advancing your goals.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong problem‑solving and analytical ability; track record of a “test & learn” mindset.
Tendency to seek and value alternate views and earn stakeholder confidence quickly.
Power user of AI‑powered tooling.
Experience designing and scaling programs across multiple geographies.
Hybrid Work at Stripe
This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).
In‑Office Expectations
Office‑assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users, balancing collaboration and flexibility.
Working Remotely at Stripe
A remote location is defined as being 35 miles or more from one of our offices. While you are welcome to come into the office for meetings and events, the expectation is that you will regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover relocation costs. We encourage applying for roles that match your current or planned location.
Pay and Benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $174,200 – $261,200. For sales roles, the range provided is the On Target Earnings (OTE) range, covering both commissions/bonuses and base salary. The range applies to several career levels and may be narrowed during the interview process based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants not located in the US may request a salary range for their location.
Additional benefits may include equity, company bonus or sales commissions, 401(k), medical, dental, vision, and wellness stipends.
