Description

The

Napa Valley Wine Train

has provided a historic, luxury experience in Napa's Wine Country for over 30 years. As a Railroad Conductor you will lead the train crew and ensure the safe transport of passengers and freight while delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities

Coordinate activities of the train crew during transportation of passengers or freight.
Direct train movement in communication with the Locomotive Engineer.
Maintain clear verbal instructions and respond to safety warnings.
Assist passengers as needed and ensure their safety and comfort.
Perform routine equipment inspections and troubleshooting.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Relevant railroad or transportation experience preferred; proof of certification or license acceptable.
Language Skills:

Proficiency in English.
Mathematical Skills:

Ability to perform basic calculations for schedule and cargo.
Reasoning Ability:

Demonstrated sound judgment.
Computer Skills:

Ability to use standard rail operational software.
Certificate, License, Registrations:

Any required rail industry certifications.
Physical Demands

Must be able to climb and balance on ladders or cars 100% of the time.
Must stand and walk continuously.
Must hear warning sounds and have vision to pass FRA hearing and vision tests.
Must reach, stoop, bend, kneel, and lift equipment up to 50 lb.
Other Skills and Abilities

Hand‑eye coordination to manage tasks while staying aware of surroundings.
Leadership skills to direct crew and passengers.
Mechanical skills for operating and adjusting equipment.
Physical strength for lifting and maneuvering equipment.
Speaking skills to communicate clearly with crew and guests.
Drug Free

Must pass a standard FRA drug and alcohol test and may be subject to random testing.
Salary and Benefits

$20.00–$23.00 per hour
