Job Responsibilities
Edgemoor is looking for a Creative Strategy Associate based in McLean, Virginia. Reporting to a Creative Strategy Manager, the Creative Strategy Associate assists in the development of well‑written, visually compelling proposals to support the team’s pursuit of exciting new projects across the country.
The ideal candidate brings strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, has an eye for layout and graphic design, and is excited to learn and grow in a fast‑paced environment.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serving as part of proposal preparation team responsible for updating of standard material for inclusion in marketing packages (i.e. resumes, project sheets, and experience matrices, etc.)
Editing written content from technical team members for grammar and consistency
Assisting in proposal production (i.e. copying, collating, binding, etc.)
Assisting with preparation for client interviews including presentations, preparation, and strategy
Developing marketing collateral for print and digital use (i.e. posters, brochures, invites, etc.)
Creating and maintaining content for website and social media across multiple platforms
Maintaining CRM database
Ad hoc marketing requests (i.e. event planning, assisting with photo shoots, designing swag, etc.)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration requiring strong writing, analytical, and communications skills (i.e., marketing, communications, English, etc.)
2-7 years of experience (prior experience at an A/E/C firm a plus)
Demonstrated writing and editing skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Detail‑orientation and conscientiousness
Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate with senior management, supervisors, peers, and clients
Strong computer skills (Word and PowerPoint required, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop a significant plus)
Strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines
Ability to “think outside the box” and be creative
Working as part of a full team but able to remain independently motivated
