Overview
Seeking Miscellaneous Technical Engineering Technicians to support field and operational activities in a Midland-based environment. This role will function as an operator/technical support position, bridging engineering and field execution with a strong focus on mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and operational support. Candidates must have hands‑on field experience and the ability to support day‑to‑day operations, with exposure to engineering processes and industrial environments.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Support field operations and act as a liaison between engineering and operations teams
Perform mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance support, and operational checks
Assist with equipment inspections, diagnostics, and performance monitoring
Support day‑to‑day facility operations in an operator-style capacity
Participate in call‑out rotation and respond to operational needs as required
Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with site safety standards
Assist with process and operational improvements where applicable
Work collaboratively with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams
Qualifications
Engineering degree preferred (Associate’s or Bachelor’s)
Strong field experience required
Mechanical experience required
Operator-level experience preferred
I&E experience a plus
Industrial engineering background a plus
Industrial safety experience a plus
Manufacturing or chemical refinery experience a plus
Due process background experience a plus
Former XOM experience a plus
Additional Details
1 Night Shift Role: starts on days, transitions to nights
2 Day Shift Roles: standard 5/2 schedule
Call‑out rotation in place (will move to formal rotation)
Midland candidates preferred; non‑local candidates must be onsite during the work week
