
Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

Summary
Responsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fire sprinkler systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company quality and safety requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre‑action, and deluge systems.
Diagnose system issues and identify required repairs or corrective actions.
Conduct system testing, flushing, and functional checks.
Document service activities, deficiencies, and corrective actions accurately.
Communicate system status and service needs with customers and internal teams.
Coordinate with inspectors, project managers, and other technicians as needed.
Maintain service vehicles, tools, and inventory.
Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Support emergency and on‑call service requests as required.
Education and Experience
High school education and 3+ years of fire sprinkler service or installation experience; strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and NFPA standards; ability to read and interpret system drawings and specifications; mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; NICET certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
Computer Skills
Basic computer skills and email proficiency.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, walking, crouching/bending, climbing ladders, and working at heights; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; exposure to varying weather conditions, mechanical systems, and active facilities; overtime and on‑call rotation may be required.
