CNA/Patient Care Tech - Night Shift
Northern Nevada Medical Center (124-bed acute care hospital in Sparks, Nevada) is seeking a dedicated CNA/Patient Care Technician to provide safe, competent nursing assistant care during the night shift schedule. The candidate will support the healthcare team and adhere to the principles of Patient Centered Care and Service Excellence.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

Complete bedside shift reports in the room at the beginning and end of each shift.

Ensure patients receive the names and contact numbers for members of the care team on the communication board each shift.

Meet with the supervising RN at the beginning of each shift to receive delegation of tasks.

Involve the patient and family in psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population-specific, and diversity needs of care.

Follow facility policies and procedures to promote patient safety, including safe environment, equipment safety, radiation safety, and fire prevention.

Adhere to fall precautions by performing or assisting patients with toileting/ADL care, never leaving a patient alone.

If assistance is needed, ask/call or help while remaining with the patient.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited CNA program.

Current Nevada CNA license.

Current BLS certificate.

Prefer one year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting.
