Position
Band 6 Specialist Radiographer – 36 hours – Permanent. Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Radiology Directorate – Edinburgh. Located in a purpose‑built facility on the Bioquarter site adjacent to the Royal Infirmary and co‑joined with the paediatric radiology department.

Responsibilities

Provide state‑of‑the‑art neuro imaging including intra‑operative MRI, laser RF ablation MRI, fMRI, GA/sedation MRI, and pacemaker MRI scanning.

Operate cross‑sectional scanners (Siemens Axiom Artis Zee, Canon Acquillion One Genesis CT scanner, Philips Ingenia 1.5T & 3T MRI scanners).

Support the radiographer‑led CT‑guided nerve root injection service.

Participate in the On Call rota and provide cover for evening and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

Relevant postgraduate experience in radiography.

Previous experience in CT/MRI or angiography is an advantage.

Requirements
This post requires the holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the holder is not a current PVG member in the required regulatory group (child and/or adult) an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
