
Master Level Counselor, Part-time - AMIkids Multi Service Home - ALBQ

Albuquerque Multi-service Group Home operated by AMIkids Sandoval provides emergency transitional living and supportive services for males ages 13-18 referred by protective services, juvenile justice, parental unit, or tribal social services based on a finding/suspected finding of abuse, neglect, delinquency, substance use, or other at-risk problems.
Position Summary
The Master Level Counselor role is responsible for performing and ensuring that individualized clinical needs are met for youth in assigned Program(s). Ensure the provision of clinical treatment through the development, implementation and general oversight of all specialized services, including screening, assessment, treatment planning, therapy, crisis intervention, and referrals.
Essential Job Duties
Implement clinical services and integrate the Personal Growth Model and Evidence Based Practices
Ensure youth are assessed for clinical needs at the Program and referral through qualified providers
Ensure treatment plans address individualized clinical needs of each youth and are completed timely and in compliance with regulatory and contract standards
Maintain a case load of youth
Develop supportive relationships and communicate effectively regarding youth progress with applicable internal and external parties
Facilitate individual, group, family and crisis counseling services
Facilitate psycho-educational services, delinquency interventions, and clinical services including Evidence-Based treatments
Participate in the treatment team
Utilize innovative problem solving and creative treatment services to meet youth needs
Enforce the principals of professional conduct ethics, and AMIkids values
Ensure required reports and documentation are submitted timely and maintained in a confidential environment
Attend all required training/professional development events and maintain all appropriate certifications and licenses
Attend and maintain appropriate crisis intervention and physical restraint training and certification as defined by state and contract requirements
Attend and maintain CPR and First Aid certification by nationally recognized organization
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Minimum Education, Training and Experience
Master's degree; preferably in Psychology, Social Work, or other counseling related field
Experience with at risk or troubled youth, preferred
Experience working with electronic documentation, preferred
State Specific Requirements
New Mexico
Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Professional Art Therapist (LPAT) - Provisional License Accepted
Obtain and maintain National Provider Identifier and Medicaid provider enrollment
