Who We Are
As a Precision Vehicle Holdings company, Precision Vehicle Logistics was originally created in 2014. Precision Vehicle Logistics is focused on yard management working in partnership with labor unions. PVL offers a full range of vehicle processing services for origin facilities, destination ramps, and ports – including rail loading and unloading.

Job Summary
The Operational Training Supervisor is responsible for delivering hands‑on, field‑based training that builds the capabilities of supervisors and frontline employees across operational sites. This role is highly visible and requires a strong “boots on the ground” presence, working side‑by‑side with teams to ensure consistent execution of company standards.

This position is primarily field‑based, with approximately 70% travel required. The Operational Training Supervisor plays a key role in reinforcing safe work practices, improving performance, and ensuring teams are confident and capable in their day‑to‑day responsibilities.

Field‑Based Training Delivery
Deliver in‑person training at operational sites, focusing on real‑world application of job responsibilities. Work directly with teams in active environments to demonstrate proper procedures, reinforce expectations, and build confidence through hands‑on learning.

Culture of Safety & Compliance
Promote and uphold a safe, respectful work environment. Lead by example and reinforce company policies, procedures, and safety expectations in the field.

Operational Standards Implementation
Ensure supervisors and employees understand and consistently follow company standards. Observe performance on‑site, provide immediate coaching, and address gaps in execution.

On‑Site Coaching & Support
Spend time in the field working alongside employees to provide real‑time feedback, guidance, and support. Help teams improve performance through direct engagement and practical instruction.

Site Visits & Assessments
Conduct regular visits to operational locations to evaluate performance, identify training needs, and ensure consistency across sites.
Assist in creating and updating simple, practical training materials that are easy for frontline employees to understand and apply on the job.

Collaboration with Operations Leaders
Partner with site leaders to schedule training, address performance gaps, and support ongoing development of team members.

Travel Requirements
Travel frequently (approximately 70%) to operational sites. Must be comfortable working outdoors and in active environments.
Monitor progress and follow up after training to ensure improvements are sustained. Provide feedback and suggest enhancements to training approaches as needed.

Qualifications
2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or frontline training roles; vehicle logistics or transportation industry experience strongly preferred.
Experience delivering in‑person training and leading small group sessions in dynamic, hands‑on environments.
Strong working knowledge of safety standards, vehicle handling, yard movements, and operational best practices.
Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
Comfortable working in railcars, yard areas, and other physically active environments.
Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized, self‑motivated, and adaptable to changing environments and priorities.
Ability to travel frequently (up to 75%) to sites across the region; must have reliable transportation.
Located in or willing to relocate to the Detroit, MI area preferred.

Preferred Skills
Experience conducting safety or quality audits.
Knowledge of vehicle processing systems, yard management technology, or industrial safety software.
