LAB Technician Day Shift
Essential Skills
Experience in laboratory and microbiology.
Comfortable using proprietary LIMS software.
Associates degree in relevant sciences or equivalent experience.
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Laboratory Technician, where you will apply GMP/GLP standards in all areas of responsibility. You will be introduced to food and dietary supplements for microbiology testing, and expected to learn sample accession tasks, including opening, registering, tracking, labeling, sending, and disposing of samples.
Responsibilities
Apply GMP/GLP standards in all areas of responsibility.
Learn and perform microbiology testing for food and dietary supplements.
Execute sample accession tasks such as opening, registering, tracking, labeling, sending, and disposing of samples.
Coordinate with client services to establish or update customer service procedures with guidance.
Communicate discrepancies to appropriate personnel and assist with problem-solving.
Handle internal customer inquiries and solve problems with assistance.
Contact internal clients for clarification as needed.
Utilize proprietary LIMS software in day-to-day duties.
Weigh and prepare samples for basic USP testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Computer literacy.
Comfortable handling allergens.
Work Environment
Our new, local lab located in West Valley City operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with occasional hours on Saturday. The lab is part of an international biotechnology company. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while working.

This is a Contract position based out of Salt Lake City, UT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
