Responsibilities
Our Customer Service Pharmacy Technician coordinates communication between pharmacy, providers, and facilities while resolving prescription issues in a timely, efficient, courteous, responsive, reliable, and respectful manner.
Answer and submit inquiries regarding patient information and medication therapies.
Take requests for refill orders, out‑of‑pass, patient discharge orders, and special delivery requests.
Assist the pharmacist with facility and physician office communications.
Obtain patient information for our database by calling patient care representatives and physician offices.
Utilize judgement in knowing when to elevate issues to the management level.
Use programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Complete assigned projects upon request in a timely manner.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One year of experience with direct client communication in customer service.
Prior healthcare/pharmacy experience preferred.
Strong computer and data entry skills.
Good oral communication skills, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.
Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
