The Position
The Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) Nurse will provide primary patient care for specifically assigned patients, including assessments, care planning, evaluation, and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services in accordance with the care matrices and best practices in the home or alternate site setting.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing direct patient care and administering IVIG, biologics and other infusible or injectable medications as ordered.
Providing appropriate patient education.
Completing comprehensive nursing assessments.
Establishing peripheral intravenous lines as well as accessing and maintaining central venous lines (PICC lines, implanted port, midlines).
Submitting clinical records efficiently and on time.
Preparing and administering medications.
Triage infusion patient inquiries.
Traveling to other locations on occasion.
Demonstrating excellent patient assessment and interpersonal skills.
Communicating clearly and collaborating to optimize patient care and clinic operations.
Participating in performance‑improvement activities and providing suggestions to enhance patient care.
Adhering to standards of safety and infection control when delivering patient care.
Managing required AIC documentation.
Cleaning and disinfecting all patient care areas in the AIC.
Managing AIC supplies.
Demonstrating thorough knowledge of and compliance with all policies and procedures related to job duties.
Schedule
Part‑Time, 32 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts, varying schedule between Monday to Friday, 8 am‑4 pm.
No weekends or holidays.
Must have knowledge of and experience with IV access devices, including IV lines, ports, and infusion medications.
IVIG infusion experience preferred.
Must be licensed as an RN in the state of Florida.
Requirements
Current RN Licensure by the applicable state’s Board of Nursing, in good standing.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.
Advanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g. CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not required.
Minimum 3 years of nursing experience with a background in infusion therapy.
Current nursing license for applicable home state.
Administrative oversight responsibilities, including monitoring workflows, ensuring compliance, and managing resources efficiently.
Emergency availability to respond promptly to emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Experience in ICU and/or cardiac care preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with no significant restrictions.
