Qualifications
1+ year of laboratory experience as a Medical Lab Tech
Handling specimen processing
Ability to identify issues that may affect test results
Proficiency testing
Specimen processing
Experience utilizing a Laboratory Information System
Documenting and updating information in EMR
Experience utilizing Vitros 5600 or similar
ASCP or AMT certification
Associate’s Degree - MLT
Duties
Handle specimen processing, test analysis, and reporting
Maintain patient records and test results
Identify issues that may affect test performance or reporting of test results
Perform proficiency testing
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance/repairs and document
Make sure test results are timely
Identify cause of unexpected results, take action and document
Enter and update information in the Lab Information System
Process specimens
