**FTE:** 1.0\_, **Shift:** day\_, **Schedule:** four ten hour shifts per week**Position Summary**The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is an integral part of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team working under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. Work situations require performance of safe clinical skills within the scope of practice of the MA-C. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients and their families/caregivers.**Responsibilities:*** Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include:
+ Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff
+ Interviewing patients
+ Obtaining vital signs
+ Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments
+ Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
+ Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
+ Relaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers* Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include:
+ Sending and receiving of patient medical records
+ Facilitating patient referrals
+ Preparing forms for patients**Requirements:*** Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)* Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred* Current BLS certification
