Job Description
As a Physical Therapy Assistant in the Rehabilitation department supporting Scripps Mercy Hospital you will bring your excellent communication skills to creatively solve problems every day. The ideal candidate is confident in the acute care environment and ready to jump in to support our teams in their mission to provide world‑class patient care. The Physical Therapy Assistant assists in providing therapy under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, performing services according to assistance certification and compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies. The Physical Therapist Assistant demonstrates the ability to perform competencies as outlined in Rehabilitation Services competency assessment tools and provide age‑specific care as required.

Qualifications

Current California State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or pending license. Must have license before start.

BLS for Health Care Provider

Minimum of one year of acute care experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant

Location & Compensation
Location: Scripps Mercy Hospital, 4077 Fifth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92103. Pay range: $34.97 – $50.69 per hour, applicable to employees residing in California. Part‑time (20 hrs/week) with benefits.
