What You’ll Do as a Director CPA
Oversee
complex tax and advisory engagements, reviewing preparation work for compliance and accuracy while ensuring client strategy alignment.
Lead, coach, & develop
preparers for efficiency and growth, finalizing and signing returns and financial statements.
Resolve
complex accounting and tax issues while serving as the primary contact for key clients and delivering strategic guidance.
Expand
client relationships, pursue new business opportunities, and represent the firm at networking events and community gatherings.
Prepare
proposals for prospective clients and stay current on industry and regulatory developments.
Our Ideal Director CPA
Experienced:
CPA license in good standing with at least 8 years of tax preparation experience across partnerships, corporations, and individual returns, plus 5+ years in a leadership or senior management role; a degree in accounting or an undergraduate degree with sufficient accounting coursework required; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Knowledgeable:
Skilled in researching tax issues, formulating strategies, and preparing financial statements, including preparations, compilations, and reviews on both income tax and GAAP basis.
Relational:
Builds and maintains strong client and referral relationships with bankers, attorneys, and wealth advisors.
Professional:
Presents an appropriate image, communicates effectively, prioritizes workflow, adapts to changing needs, and works independently with attention to detail.
Servant Leader:
A person of action who sets the pace, takes ownership, grows daily, and models value-driven leadership.
