Counselor Trainee - Addiction Recovery

Overview
The Counselor in training, under the supervision of a clinical supervisor or their designee, will provide counseling services for persons with substance use disorders and their families. This individual is a person working towards CADC certification who is gaining supervised experience in providing counseling, education, and support to clients with substance abuse issues and their families.

Qualifications
Certifications: Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) within 2 years - Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association (IAODAPCA), Education: Associate's Degree: Related Field, Work Experience:

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, provide counseling services to patients and their families through individual and/or group settings. Identify concerns and make referrals to others when needed with guidance and support from supervisor. Maintain accurate records and complete all forms, assessments and file management paperwork as directed. Facilitate and effectively utilize evidence-based practices in individual and group counseling settings. Complete ASAM based alcohol and drug assessments and develop treatment recommendations and plans with support of supervisor. Helps patients and families identify resources in their community which support ongoing recovery journey.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $23.05 per hour - $38.49 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
