Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Respite Nurse (RN or LPN) to provide in-home nursing care and support for a client, allowing the primary caregiver scheduled relief. The nurse will ensure the client’s medical and personal care needs are met while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
Job Duties
Assumes responsibility and accountability for the practice of professional nursing in accordance with Agency policy and standards of practice to ensure effective and appropriate home care services.
Consistently demonstrates competency with technical nursing skills according to personal and legal scope of practice.
Communicates effectively and in accordance with Agency requirements.
Assesses the continuing needs of the patient. Performs initial and ongoing patient’s assessments based on Agency policy and standards of practice to ensure effective and appropriate home care services, as needed.
Participates with team of RNs, LPNs and or Home Health Aides to provide effective and quality home care services.
Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for patients and coworkers.
Performs job duties in accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and professional and community standards.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Current license as a Registered Nurse.
Demonstrated strong and effective written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
Ability to deal tactfully with patients and the community.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
