Schedule
Monday‑Friday with some holiday and weekend coverage through a staff rotation.
Requirements
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required; Registered Dietitian Educator (RDE) encouraged.
Licensed Dietitian in the state of practice, or willing to obtain a license.
Healthcare experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.
Certain positions may require a Florida Level 2 background screening.
Job Summary
Provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to patients across the lifespan—from neonates to geriatrics—in an acute‑care hospital setting. Collaborate as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team to assess nutritional status, develop and implement evidence‑based nutrition care plans, and evaluate outcomes to promote optimal patient health and recovery.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long‑term wellness for patients, families, staff, and the community.
Apply the latest evidence‑based research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high‑quality, consistent care.
Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence.
Partner with the food‑service management team to achieve patient satisfaction and service goals.
Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training when applicable.
Qualifications
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible.
Licensed Dietitian in the state of practice or willingness to obtain one.
Healthcare experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged.
