Schedule:
25-32 hours a week (with opportunity for additional hours as needed)
Pay:
$17 - $22 per hour
Our criminal defense law firm is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Paralegal to support attorneys with case preparation, drafting, and overall case management. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands‑on experience in criminal defense while working closely with attorneys on active cases.
This position involves both legal and administrative responsibilities and plays a key role in keeping cases organized, prepared, and moving forward.
Legal experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate with strong skills, work ethic, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting attorneys with drafting motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence
Communicating with clients regarding case status and information requests
E‑filing documents with Alabama courts
Maintaining organized physical and digital case files

Strong writing and organizational skills
Attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
Professional communication and client interaction skills
Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced criminal defense environment
Paralegal experience or certification is preferred but not required.
