Production Planner / Scheduler

Schedule: 7AM-4PM (flexible)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Planner / Scheduler to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing production schedules, aligning labor and materials, and ensuring on-time delivery across multiple production lines.
This position operates in a dynamic environment where schedules can shift quickly based on customer demand. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple competing priorities with ease.
This opportunity is open due to a long-tenured employee retiring after 26 years, offering strong long-term stability and growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage master production schedules using ERP systems (IQMS preferred)
Level load production and direct labor to meet operational goals and on-time delivery targets
Adjust production schedules in real time based on capacity, labor, and material availability
Monitor Bills of Materials (BOMs), cycle times, and labor constraints
Ensure availability of raw materials, components, and non-inventoried supplies
Identify and communicate production inefficiencies or risks to delivery timelines
Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and leadership teams to maintain workflow efficiency
Provide standard cost and quantity data to accounting for BOM updates
Track and report pending shipments to leadership on a monthly basis
Maintain and communicate daily production load sheets and shipping reports
Prepare and distribute rolling two-week production planning reports
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and optimize scheduling
Required Qualifications
MUST have production scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience scheduling high-volume production with multiple concurrent jobs/orders
Experience using ERP systems (IQMS strongly preferred; SAP, Oracle, etc. acceptable)
Strong understanding of production workflows, inventory, and materials planning
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
HS Diploma/GED
Background check and Drug test required
Preferred Experience
Background in plastic injection molding or similar manufacturing environments
Experience with continuous improvement or lean manufacturing practices
