Oakland-based law office looking for a paralegal with office management and unlawful detainer experience. This position offers flexible hours and days.
Qualifications
Previous 6 month - 2yr experience as a paralegal or other legal field
Education: Bachelor's degree or CA Bar-approved paralegal certificate
Familiarity with legal research
Ability to prioritize and multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Skills
Microsoft office proficiency
Familiarity with judicial council forms
Strong organizational skills
Team player capable of taking direction and working effectively in a small office setting
Responsibilities
Conduct research to support legal proceedings
Assist with drafting and reviewing of notices, complaints, motions, discovery, responses and other legal documents
Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Record and store client information
Communicate with clients, potential clients, process servers and different legal entities by phone, email, mail and fax
Update and manage excel spreadsheets on cases
Enter, track and manage your own billable time - Clio software knowledge
