
CAD Designer

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative CAD Designer to join our engineering team at a growing manufacturing organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and drafting detailed specifications for our engineering projects. This role requires a high level of expertise in CAD software, the ability to create clear and accurate production drawings, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of engineering principles.
Responsibilities
Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets, and other data.
Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations, using AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, and other 3D CAD software.
Design and prepare production drawings, assemblies, layouts, and other graphics using CAD software.
Interpret and implement customer specifications into design and production drawings.
Work closely with engineers and other team members to ensure coordinated design systems.
Analyze design concepts for compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Provide technical advice to team members and clients on design and drafting procedures, techniques, and standards.
Continually improve and update CAD skills and software knowledge through ongoing self‑directed and formal training.
Participate in project meetings and conference calls as needed to provide CAD expertise.
Qualifications
1‑3 years of experience as a CAD Designer in the engineering industry.
A CAD Certificate or equivalent is required.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, and other 3D CAD software is a must.
Experience in creating and interpreting production drawings and assemblies.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent understanding and knowledge of drafting principles, techniques, and standards.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and high‑quality work.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of engineering principles and an understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods.
Ability to interpret and implement customer specifications into design and production drawings.
Salary: $25 – $33 per hour.
