Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair residential irrigation systems. This role requires hands‑on technical expertise, strong problem‑solving skills, and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will work independently in the field, ensuring irrigation systems operate efficiently and meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Install new residential irrigation systems, including piping, valves, controllers, and sprinkler heads
Perform routine maintenance such as system inspections, seasonal start-ups, and winterization
Diagnose and repair system issues, including leaks, electrical faults, and coverage problems
Program and troubleshoot irrigation controllers and smart irrigation systems
Read and interpret system designs, layouts, and blueprints
Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and company procedures
Communicate clearly with homeowners about system operation, repairs, and recommendations
Maintain accurate service records, job notes, and inventory usage
Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles safely
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
Experience with irrigation systems, plumbing, landscaping, or related field
Knowledge of irrigation components, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred Skills
Basic plumbing knowledge
Experience with smart irrigation technology and controllers
Basic electrical and low-voltage wiring knowledge
Customer service experience
Work Environment
Primarily outdoor, field-based work at residential properties
Travel between job sites required
Occasional weekend or extended hours during peak seasons
