Overview
Phlebotomist II Float - Stockton, CA, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational weekends. This position requires a state phlebotomy license. (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV).
Responsibilities
Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomy duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate.
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
Collect specimens according to established procedures (including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams).
Enter billing information and collect payment when required.
Coach, mentor, instruct, and act as a resource advisor for new employees; serve as the on-site contact and provide input to the group lead or supervisor.
Travel to additional doctor’s offices or Patient Service Center sites as needed.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
Phlebotomy certification: preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience: Three years phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections) required; minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
Benefits and Compensation
Pay range: $26.05 - $28.45 per hour. Salary offers based on factors including skills, training, experience, education, and applicable certifications; market and organizational factors also considered. Potential eligibility for annual performance bonus.
