Overview
The HWIL Electrical Design & Integration Engineer will assist in the design, development, and implementation of real‑time, closed‑loop HWIL capabilities with a focus on electrical engineering. This early‑career role (≈1+ year experience) provides hands‑on skills development while contributing to multidisciplinary teams.
What You Will Be Doing
Electrical Design Support: help create cable harnesses, simple PCB layouts, and integrate components for HWIL test setups.
Lab Troubleshooting: use oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other lab equipment to diagnose basic hardware failures.
Integration Assistance: support the integration team in debugging connectors, timing issues, and EMI concerns.
Simulation Exposure: participate in HWIL real‑time closed‑loop simulation activities.
Team Interaction: attend program meetings, provide status updates, and interface with systems, software, and mechanical engineers.
Documentation: contribute to design reviews, test procedures, and verification reports under guidance.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline from an accredited institution.
Active Secret clearance (interim required at start); US citizen required.
Basic knowledge of digital, analog, and RF circuit concepts; familiarity with electronic components.
Experience with cable design, PCB layout, or component integration.
Hands‑on experience with basic test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator).
Ability to interpret simple customer needs and contribute to product backlogs under supervision.
Desired Skills
Exposure to multidisciplinary team environments.
Introductory experience with HWIL real‑time simulation tools.
Familiarity with electrical design software.
Basic understanding of flight‑software integration concepts.
Security Clearance
Requires Secret clearance with investigation or current CV date within 5 years. This position requires government security clearance; US citizenship is mandatory.
Schedule
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
