Located in Topeka, KS installing structural steel in Kansas and surrounding states.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ironworker/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in welding, and installation of structural steel and miscellaneous, along with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. This role involves working with heavy equipment to construct and install metal structures.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Fabricate, assemble, and install metal structures, including steel beams, columns, and trusses.
Perform stick welding after passing 3G and 4G weld tests.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards while operating equipment and working on-site.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and equipment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a welding or ironworking apprenticeship program preferred.
Proven experience as an Ironworker and Welder, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in the industry.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques, practices, and safety protocols.
Ability to operate various tools and equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts and telehandlers.
Good physical condition and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) preferred.
