About the Role
The Business Services Recruiting Specialist – Talent Sourcing & Research is an integral part of Latham’s Human Capital & Talent team. This role will be responsible for supporting individual business services search efforts as well as workforce planning initiatives at the departmental, functional, and office level through a collection of best‑in‑class market research, data, pipelining, and direct outreach services, while conducting talent market mapping across a multitude of levels (with those levels often overlapping) including competency, technical skillset, role, level, industry, function, department, and region. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in Los Angeles and may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in‑office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
Leveraging LinkedIn product suite, iCIMS product suite, pre-existing market maps, and other talent pipelining tools and strategies to create talent pipelines for active searches
Analyzing and sharing talent market data with Business Services Recruiters and/or Hiring Managers to influence and augment go‑to‑market strategy
Predictively pipelining talent for searches that appear at a regular frequency based on an analysis of firm hiring data
Generating, or leveraging pre-existing market maps and talent pipelines to create a pool of passive candidate targets for individual searches based on discussions with Business Services Recruiters and/or Hiring Managers
Pitching Latham opportunities to passive candidate targets and in‑network (“warm”) targets, and conducting initial discussions with pre‑application potential candidates to validate interests and qualifications
Generating competitive intelligence reports within and outside of the legal industry to understand Latham’s position relative to active searches, role and team buildouts, titling, levelling, organizational structure, compensation, and other talent trends impacting organizations with whom we compete for talent
Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

Demonstrate proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Insights
Display comprehensive knowledge of Boolean search logic and Microsoft Office Suite
Possess a strong ability to source within an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Possess a strong ability to distill and communicate complex information tailored to the relevant audience
And have:
A bachelor’s degree, preferably, with a focus in Human Resources or Data Analytics
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a sourcer, talent market researcher, or recruiter, in a global professional services environment

Pay Range
USD $85,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
