Location
Infleqtion has 6 office locations, operating out of Boulder/Louisville, CO; Madison, WI; Chicago, IL; Oxford, UK; and Melbourne, AU. This position is a full-time, on-site role which will be located in our Louisville, CO office.
Position Summary
Infleqtion is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Systems & Cloud Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise across virtualization platforms, cloud services, and enterprise systems, along with a strong commitment to documentation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain on-premise infrastructure, including virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V, and/or Proxmox
Manage and optimize cloud environments across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Administer and support core services including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, DNS, DHCP, and identity management solutions
Perform routine server maintenance tasks including patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity planning
Monitor system health, availability, and performance using appropriate tools; proactively address issues before they impact users
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalated issues from the IT Service Desk
Ensure systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with organizational policies and industry best practices
Develop, maintain, and improve technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system diagrams
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on infrastructure projects, migrations, and integrations
Implement and support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
Requirements
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in systems administration, with a strong focus on both on‑premise and cloud infrastructure
Hands‑on experience with virtualization technologies including VMware, Hyper‑V, and/or Proxmox
Proven experience managing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration
Experience with server monitoring, logging, and performance management tools
Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and system issues across multiple environments
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to thorough documentation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience administering Windows, Linux, and macOS systems in enterprise environments
Familiarity with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)
Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration management tools is a plus
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, routing)
Experience working within or aligning to ITIL framework and best practices for IT service management
Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving technologies
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Please note that any offer for employment may be conditioned on authorization to receive software or technology controlled under these U.S. export control laws and regulations without sponsorship for an export license.
Work will normally be performed in an office and laboratory environment and around technical equipment including computers and lasers. Able to sit, stand, bend, lift and carry up to 40 pounds without assistance. Able to efficiently use automated office equipment such as laptops, copiers, and printers; able to effectively engage in communications (via phone, computer, or in‑person). Any required Personal Protective Equipment will be provided and must be properly used in accordance with company requirements.
