General Function
Responsible for rotating and replenishing merchandise and ensuring the highest quality standards are met. Additionally, maintain a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service.

Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, Health Wellness Home; Dairy Department Manager.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
Learn customers’ names and address them by name whenever possible.
Assist customers by:
Escorting them to the products they’re looking for
Securing products that are out of reach
Loading or unloading heavy items
Taking note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests
Performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience.
Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to callers.
Rotate and replenish merchandise and ensure highest quality standards are met.
Unload trucks and place product in appropriate storage area.
Face merchandise.
Ensure cleanliness in the department, clean off cases, sweep the floor, etc.
Build end‑cap displays and fill through the week as necessary.
Order product and supplies as requested by the department manager.
Ensure storage area is organized, floor not slippery, and temperature constant and correct.
Maintain strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.
Adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines.
Report to work when scheduled and on time.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in physical inventories (monthly and quarterly).
Check invoices against delivered product when asked.
Assist in other areas of the store as needed.
Perform other job‑related duties and special projects as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics
Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization and interpret instructions.
Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction; copying figures, counting, and recording.
Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
Education and Experience
Less than high school or equivalent experience and six months or less of similar or related experience.
Physical Requirements
Physically able to perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual requirements: clarity of vision at a distance of less than 20 inches to less than 20 feet, with or without correction; depth perception.
Perform the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Working Conditions
Position exposed to noise and temperature extremes continuously, dirt and dampness frequently, and occasional exposure to equipment movement hazards. Fast‑paced work environment.
Equipment Used
Box cutter, two‑wheeler, ice cream carts, milk dollies, cash register, intercom, calculator, pallet jack, RPM.

Anticipated hourly starting wage: $11.41 to $14.00 depending on experience.
