Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative performs clinic, clerical tasks, such as registeringpatients, communication financial obligation, and collecting fees.Additionalresponsibilities include various clerical work and administrative/ business details such as scheduling appointments, giving information to callers, reading and routing incoming mail, filing correspondence and other records, and other assigned clerical duties.
ResponsibilitiesAnd Scope
Obtains all critical demographic andfinancialinformation andaccuratelyinputs data into Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR) system and other applications as needed. Obtain and/or verify documentation as required including Consent for Treatment, Assignment of Benefits and FinancialResponsibility, and Notice of Privacy Practices.
Answers and relays incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls. Delivers routine / scripted instructions in preparation fora patient'svisit to the office.
Ability to remain in seated position for extended periods of time, with routine breaks
Provides general clericalsupportfunctions to ensure efficientutilizationof time, by scheduling meetings,patientsand appointments;maintainingcalendars; coordinating with otherclinicalservices.
Collections and counts cash receipts and daily deposits. Ensuresbalancedcash and drawer daily
Maintain order and cleanliness throughout the clinic. Performs housekeeping duties of assigned area by routine and periodic cleaning
Ability to work onsite and travel in a reliable vehicle between assigned locations withpredicable,reliableand prompt attendance.
Qualifications
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
Driver's license and access to transportation
Preferred:
Medical clerical experience in a hospital, physician practice, clinic, nursinghomeor insurance agency
