Albany Associates in Cardiology is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Heart Failure Cardiologist to join our team. As a leading provider of cardiology services in the Capital Region, we are committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to patients with advanced heart failure. Position Highlights

Full‑time Heart Failure Cardiologist position

Join a well‑established cardiology group with a strong referral base

Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including advanced practice providers, nurses, and specialists

Opportunity to participate in advanced therapies and clinical research initiatives

Clinical Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage patients with advanced heart failure and cardiomyopathies

Provide expertise in pharmacologic and device‑based therapies

Collaborate with electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and cardiac surgery teams

Interpret diagnostic tests including echocardiograms, cardiac MRI, and hemodynamic assessments

Participate in inpatient and outpatient care, including rounding and follow‑up visits

Educate patients and families on disease management and lifestyle modifications

Qualifications

Board Certified or Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease

Advanced training or experience in Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology preferred

Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State

Strong clinical skills and commitment to patient‑centered care

Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment

Recruitment Package
Base Salary is $600,000 per year.

Year 2: Cardiologist has opportunity to join Pool Model where RVU and Quality Incentive Models are shared among pool members. Entry into Pool model requires annual RVU threshold.

The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position.

25,000 Retention Bonus

25,000 Relocation (if residing outside the capital region)

Fellowship compensation available – up to 100,000 per year for early sign‑on (paid out as a monthly stipend)

CME time & expense allowance – 4,500 per year
