Coordinator of Facilities & Event Operations

Position Summary
Provide assistance to the barn manager and facility manager with the general upkeep of the equestrian facility and grounds. Serve as the facility and event operations coordinator for the UGA Equestrian program.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities and grounds maintenance, including fencing installation, mowing, landscaping, weed control, fertilizing, and jump maintenance.

Assist the Equestrian Facilities Manager and Facilities Foreman with horse feeding, hay production, stall cleaning, and general facility upkeep.

Oversee and aid equipment maintenance.

Serve as the event manager for equestrian events.

Schedule deliveries, set up, and break down equine and athletic equipment for competition; prepare the arena.

Coordinate clean‑up before and after athletic events.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Excellent communication, logistical, and organizational skills.

Ensure compliance with NCAA, SEC, and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to the sport of Equestrian.

Physical Demands

Stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms.

Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and assist student athletes during weight training.

Maintain close and distance vision, including peripheral vision.

Drive various farm equipment.
